In September 2026, RRI launched Advancing Rights-based and Community-led Conservation in Africa, an analysis of the rich and diverse experiences of conservation in 23 African countries.

At UNCBD COP17, join RRI for a discussion of key findings and lessons from the report to advance dialogue on the future of biodiversity conservation through community leadership, secure rights, and equitable financing.

The event will connect the growing momentum around community-led conservation in Africa with global efforts to implement the KMGBF, particularly Targets 3, 22, and 23.
