China is presently undergoing a wave of reforms to the collective forestry sector that will have widespread impacts and historical significance.  Since the advent of collective forest reforms" a number of studies have been conducted by some of the world's leading institutions on forestry research and policy.  The objective of this event was to convene these experts and policy-makers" in a forum that would provide opportunities to review the progress of reforms and identify "next steps" in the implementation process.
