Strengthening Local to Global Movements for Community Land Rights and Community Conservation

Please join us for a panel discussion featuring the 2016 Goldman Environmental Prize winner for Africa Edward Loure, who will discuss key issues facing grassroots organizations working for community land rights and conservation in East Africa. Loure has helped pioneer new legal solutions to conflicts over land used by local communities, in conservation, and for development in rural Tanzania.

The discussion will also highlight the role that global policy networks and organizations can play in supporting local struggles and scaling up effective models, including through the newly launched Land Rights Now campaign.

The panel starts at 12 pm, with lunch served afterwards. Please RSVP
