Electrification and Transition Minerals: Putting Rights at the Center
Date: 11/18/2026
Début et de fin: 06:00 p.m. - 08:00 p.m. GMT+3
How can the energy transition advance without compromising the rights of the communities whose territories hold critical minerals and key energy infrastructure? This event will present new evidence from RRI’s regional analysis of Brazil, Bolivia, and Colombia, examining the risks of extractive expansion, international investment treaties, and energy transition projects for collective territorial rights. Bringing together government representatives, legal experts, and Indigenous and Afro-descendant leaders, the discussion will explore policy recommendations and community-led alternatives that align investment, human rights, biodiversity protection, and climate goals.
