Drawing on new evidence from seven countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, the event will launch findings from Moving Rights Forward, a groundbreaking study published by RRI shares new data and case studies from seven countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America on the legal status of pastoralist and mobile communities’ and women’s rights. Speakers from Bolivia, Kenya, Mongolia, Nepal, Niger, Peru, and Tanzania will share firsthand experiences and present concrete recommendations for advancing rights-based land governance.

Participants will also have the chance to hear from co-authors of RRI’s Legal Reform Toolkit for Pastoralist Tenure Security, a practical resource designed to help governments, advocates, and communities translate evidence into meaningful legal and policy change.
