Workshop on women’s land and forest tenure rights in DRC
Fecha: 01/01/1970
In 2016, CACO, the RRI-supported national civil society platform on tenure, conducted a study documenting the consideration of women’s rights in DRC’s laws and policies, particularly those in the land and forest sectors. Under the lead of the Coalition of Women Leaders for Environment and Development (CFLEDD, in French) and the Network of African Women for Sustainable Development (REFADD, in French), CACO will hold a workshop to present the findings of this study to a multi-stakeholder audience. The objective of the workshop is to validate these findings, as well as reinforce advocacy efforts for the consideration of women’s tenure rights.
The workshop will convene 50 participants, including government officials, government officials, civil society representatives, members of the media, and international partners. The workshop is formally hosted by the Ministry of Land Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women, Family, and Children.
