On September 15, 2014, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation, in collaboration with Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI) and the National Agency of Waters and Forests (DNEF), will be hosting a studies restitution workshop at the Conference hall of the DNEF in Tabacoro, Mali. The objective of this this event is to present the results of the baseline study on the Great Green Wall (GGW) initiative in Mali and to engage with the concerned stakeholders on the challenges, stakes and perspectives of the GGW for sustainable and integrated development. The expected outcome of this workshop is to generate a shared understanding and vision amongst partners on the objectives, approaches and responsibilities in relation to the implementation of the GGW initiative, in light of the multi-sectoral dimension of this project. Mobilizing resources and creating new alliances and synergies at the national as well as the transnational level will also be important outcomes of this workshop.
