NEPAL, April 16:  A three-day workshop resulted in a position paper based on forest-related strategies, in the ongoing process of developing Nepal’s Forestry Sector Strategy, the National REDD Strategy of Nepal, the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, and the National Strategic Framework for Nature Conservation in partnership with the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) of Nepal.

This report covers detailed presentations on forest-related strategies and subsequent discussion under Part I. Part II contains group work for the preparation and presentation of the IPs’ position on forest-related strategies. Finally, Part III includes formal declaration of the IPs’ position paper on forest-related strategies and its submission to relevant ministries in Nepalese government.
