As part of a larger effort to put questions of tenure for local communities at the forefront in ongoing land reforms in Senegal, the Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale (IPAR) helped produce two television programs to bring these issues to a much wider audience. The first show discussed the draft pastoral legislative code as an opportunity to promote farming, while the second highlighted tenure reform on decentralization. With the help of community tenure experts, the shows drew attention to the effects these ongoing reforms could have on land tenure. This information is now being cited by local citizens campaigning for their rights.
