RRI undertakes a collective process every five years to define its coalition’s strategy. The development of its 5-year Strategic Program is a collective, inclusive process based on inputs from Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Afro-descendants Peoples, including the women within these groups, and other allies and experts.

Achieving such ends within a rapidly diminishing window of opportunity requires unprecedented coordination, innovation, and action, and therein lies the ambition of RRI’s next Strategic Program, which will be implemented in the 2023– 2027 period. We gained the contextual knowledge and guidance to produce this program through extensive collaboration with our coalition members over 2022, as well as via external events, analyses, and discussions held among Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and local community leaders across the world.
