On May 2″ 2013″ the National Coordinator for the Defense of Life and Sovereignty” the Front of Women Defenders of Pachamama” and the Coordinator in Defense of Molleturo” conducted a demonstration before the Town of Ecuador Defense to denounce the inaction taken by its employees in regards to a complaint they had filed two years ago. The complaint was filed in September 2011″ reprehending a breach of the Mining Mandate” established in 2008 by the Constituent Assembly” which had ordered the cancellation of mining concessions that were not compliant with the established regulations” and demanded its application to the International Mineral Corporation Rio Blanco project” which had not made prior community consultation among other irregularities.
