Whistleblower Policy
As the secretariat of the Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI), the Rights and Resources Group (RRG) requires all of its employees, directors, officers, sub-grantees, contractors, and vendors to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities. As employees, representatives, sub-grantees, contractors and/or vendors of RRG, we must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling our responsibilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Reporting Responsibility
It is the responsibility of all directors, officers, sub-grantees, contractors, and vendors to report financial fraud, ethical/legal violations, or suspected violations in accordance with this Whistleblower Policy. Examples of illegal or dishonest activities include: violations of federal, state or local laws; altering receipts to defraud the organization; accepting or soliciting bribes; billing for services not performed or for goods not delivered; and other fraudulent financial reporting.
If an individual has knowledge of or a concern about harassment, fraudulent activity, or illegal practices, they should immediately report it to RRG. Employees may report issues to their immediate supervisor, any member of the RRG Executive Team, or the Chief Operating Officer. If you are a subgrantee or contractor, you may report items directly to the primary point of contact in your contract. All other individuals in RRI community are welcome to approach anyone at RRG directly, or use the reporting mechanisms outlined below.
Reporting Mechanisms
RRI provides a multi-option, multi-language reporting mechanism that is available to everyone in our community and beyond. The primary channel is a dedicated website, where reports may optionally be submitted anonymously.
