Also in China, on November 27, the Rural Development Institute of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences (RDI-YASS) held a workshop publicizing the survey results of collective forest management practices in Yunnan Province. Research findings, released at the one-day workshop in Kunming, generated constructive feedback from researchers, experts, and local government officials. The survey investigated five forest management approaches practiced by different ethnic minority groups in Yunnan province, and demonstrated that traditional forest management practices have been challenging to implement following China?s forest tenure reforms.
