On July 19, Sustainable Development Institute (SDI) organized a multi-stakeholder dialogue on land policy reform. The Land Commission presented its mandate and plans for reforms to participants, including community leaders from four counties. The commission was challenged to present its plan for broadening and deepening engagement with civil society. Notably, one representative spoke on the challenges facing rural farmers in terms of access to land. Following the meeting, participants discussed initiating a dedicated civil society coalition to engage the land reform discussions going forward.
