In collaboration with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Forest Peoples Program (FPP), the Coordinating Association of Indigenous and Community Agroforestry in Central America (ACICAFOC) and the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), Intercooperation organized a workshop to strengthen local capacities in the Amazon and Central America in defending their territorial rights to land and negotiating with governments and other external actors. The workshop also incldued a tenure scoping assessment on Ecuador, Columbia, Peru, Panama and Nicaragua, with Honduras and Bolivia to be included in the next round of assessments.
