A position paper on the rights of local communities, women and Indigenous Peoples to natural resources was presented, validated and adopted by participants at a high-level meeting of Cameroonian parliamentarians and civil society. Organized by the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) and the Parliamentarians? Network for Sustainable Management of Central African Forest Ecosystems, this paper guides legislators through ongoing forest, land and mining reform processes, particularly in recognizing customary systems for improved natural resource management.
