This workshop will bring together government" civil society" indigenous" afro-descendant" and peasant community representatives from the Amazon" Pacific" Andean" and rural areas of Colombia to debate and analyze possible inputs to the process for defining social and environmental assessment for REDD+ in Colombia. The workshop attendees will be joined by representatives from the World Bank- FCPF" voluntary carbon market projects (BioREDD" CI Progress)" and participants involved in REDD+ in Mexico" Peru" and Brazil" to compare and analyze the REDD+ processes in Colombia and other countries in the Latin American region.
