The workshop on participatory mapping in Cameroon yielded clear recommendations for integrating mapping into national decision making, and produced a road map for the participatory mapping that can guide the government in implementing its new national land use planning law, as well as the key technical administrations in their different land use program. The workshop, hosted by Cameroon Ecology, was attended by 50 participants ministries involved in land and forest management, mayors, representatives of local communities and Indigenous peoples.
