In Bolivia, the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), the Center for Labor and Agrarian Development Studies, and the Government of Bolivia analyzed new territorial dynamics that threaten forest communities in the Bolivian Amazon. New pressures include: increased timber demand, increased colonization, and roll-back of community forest tenure regulations. In coordination with the Government of Bolivia, CIFOR helped developed alternative tenure and market policies that enhance livelihoods and strengthen community tenure.
