Last week the Forest Investment Program held the most recent Joint Mission to Peru. On October 4″ 2012″ they met with the Interethnic Association for the Development of the Peruvian Amazon (AIDESEP)” the largest federation representing Peruvian Indigenous People in the Amazon.
AIDESEP published a communique on the development of a forest investment strategy for Peru. AIDESEP insisted that the results of the consultancy conducted by INDUFOR be made public. INDUFOR is a forest intelligence consultancy based in Finland that provides clients with cost-effective and sustainable forest solutions. Sharing the information allows for transparency and informed participation for Indigenous communities.
