Following the successful Forest Day workshop held in Bali during the UNFCCC COP 13 meetings in December 2007″ CIFOR and counterparts are now organizing a Forest Day focused on the forests of Central Africa. The workshop will be held 24 April 2008 in Yaoundé” Cameroon.
The Central African Congo Basin is the second-largest forest area in the world” and the Congo Basin will play a crucial role in the success of any climate change policy.
