Trainings were conducted in Riau, Jakarta and East Kalimantan with over 40 police investigators from national, provincial, and district levels. Representatives from provincial departments of forestry, plantations, the Land Agency, and CSOs also participated in the land and human rights focused trainings. The National Chief of Police Criminal Investigation attended a session. The three stars Commissioner asked HAK to continue this cooperation by running such sessions in other provinces prone to agrarian conflicts, with the Lampung province identified as the next one. He also requested that Alternative Disputes Resolution (HAK drafted an academic paper on ADR) be linked to Restorative Justice, so that it can ultimately become a National Criminal Investigation Chief Regulation.
