Background:
On September 19-20, 2013, RRI, in collaboration with the International Land Coalition (ILC), HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation, IUCN, and Oxfam, kicked off a global call to action for community land rights by organizing an international conference on Scaling-up Strategies to Secure Community Land and Resources Rights. The international conference brought together a wide diversity of stakeholders – about 180 representatives from 40 countries that have a direct, common, and urgent interest in clarifying and securing the ownership of these lands and resources.
