FECOFUN elects new chairperson
The Rights and Resources Initiative congratulates Ms. Apsara Chapagain on her election as the new Chairperson of the Federation of Community Forestry Users, Nepal (FECOFUN). Ms. Chapagain was elected upon the conclusion of the Federation's 4th General Convention, which was held 8 - 10 June 2010 in Kathmandu, Nepal. More than 600 representatives from 75 administrative districts across the country participated in the General Convention. A new National Executive Committee was also elected during the course of the meeting.
Chair Chapagain will serve in her role for a four year term.
